Biography
William T. Beson, age 90, New London, died on Thursday, June 21, 2012. Bill was born on March 8, 1922, in Appleton son of the late Roy and Laura (Duprey) Beson. He was united in marriage to Rosemary Gabriel on December 26, 1946, in Appleton. She preceded him in death in 2010. Bill was self employed, owning a home improvement business. He was a sergeant in the 9th Army, 406th Division of the 371st Fighter Group and entered the Army on June 24, 1942, and was honorable discharged November 12, 1945. He and his wife enjoyed traveling throughout the country in their RV and was an avid motorcyclist and airplane pilot. Bill was instrumental in the establishment and formation of Grand Chute Menasha West Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant.
He is survived by his children: Thomas Beson, Menasha; James Beson, Menasha; Laurie (Dave) Kussart, new London; Robert Beson, Menasha; and Maryann (Leo) Michels, New London. His grandchildren, Nathan Beson, Brian Beson, Duprey Michels, Coley Michels, Kelsey Beson and Edward Beson; step grandchildren, Paul and Philip Kussart. Great grandchild, Evan Kussart. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A private family memorial service will be held.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Trinity Terrace and ASERACARE Hospice especially, Tammy, Kim, Shawn and Jamie for their care of Bill during his last days.
