John Allen

January 21, 1919 - July 15, 2006

Age 87, died Saturday July 15, 2006 at St. Joseph Residence in New London. He was born on January 21, 1919 in the Township of Lebanon, (Waupaca County), son of the late James & Margaret (Hogan) Allen. John farmed in Lebanon his entire life and was a longtime member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1941-1945. He is survived by a brother Roger Allen, Fond du Lac. Three sisters, Mildred (Paul) Schafhauser, Oshkosh, Rita Mathes, Hilbert, Eileen Mielke, Appleton. Also 22 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Marguerite Frieders, 2 brothers Eugene & Jerome Allen. Three brothers-in-law Bob Mathes, Joe Mielke & Fritz Frieders. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00a.m. Tuesday July 18, 2006 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lebanon with the Rev. Msgr. Dennis Lally officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00a.m. until the time of service.
