BiographyAge 92, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2007 at Cherry Meadows in Appleton. Denton was born on December 30, 1914 in Peshtigo son of the late Merlton and Dorothy (Albrecht) Alley. He graduated from Marinette High School in 1933. He obtained his accounting degree from International Accountants Society in 1945. He was a Boy Scout and later became a Boy Scout Council Board member in Green Bay where he lived for many years. Denton married Ruth A. Vickery on December 30, 1938 in Hermansville, MI. She preceded him in death on July 24, 1992. He worked for the Standard Oil Company for 35 years (now known as Amoco BP) and moved to numerous cities in the states. He was an executive in the office of the vice president of marketing in Chicago, IL. He later became staff director, Computer Systems Development. After retirement in1970 he became active in the Spread Eagle Lakes Association, where he and his then wife Ruth built a retirement home. He also served as a Florence County Supervisor and later became chairman of the Human Services Department. He and his wife moved to Sun City AZ, in early 1980's. It was there he learned the craft of semi precious stone cutting and polishing and also the craft of silver smith. He moved to New London I n 1992 after the death of his first wife Ruth. He was active for many years in the First Congregational U.C. C. Church as well as being a volunteer in the high school library. He married Norma Nordin-Adams in late 1993, with whom he had graduated with from Marinette High School. Funeral Service
