Ann Schneider, age 65, of Hortonville, Wisconsin passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, after a short battle with cancer. Ann was born in New London on November 27, 1960 to the late Sylvester and Margaret (Friemark) Menting and she graduated from Hortonville High School.
Ann worked at Hillshire for 21 years, where she also met her late husband, Dennis Schneider. Ann married Dennis on April 18, 1987. She was a worker in the truest sense, working as a bartender at Boondocks in Symco for many years, and working with her sister in the tax service while in retirement.
Ann was born to be a mother, standing up for others in need. She provided a home that was always open to friends and family, no matter the time of day. In her younger years she enjoyed shooting pool, and she always played barefoot. She loved her family, especially her granddaughter Liv, whom she loved more than life itself, and her sister Jean. She was at ease knowing her daughters had each other.
Ann is survived by her daughters, Angela Peerenboom (Shannon), and Amanda Schneider (Luke Roberts); step-children, Kerry, BJ (Molly), and Robin (Rusty); grandchildren, Oliviah, Kaleb, Hailey; numerous step-grandchildren, and one step-great-grandchild. She is further survived by her siblings, Mary (George), Dave (Margie), Jean, Rick (Arlyne), Ellen (Yogi), and Jim; special niece and nephew, Michael (Meg) and Crystal (Marty) who she loved as if they were her own children; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis; her parents, Sylvester and Margaret; her brothers, John and Ken; brother-in-law, Paul; and her great nephew, Noah, who she considered a grandson.
The Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London, with Rev. Kevin Dembinski officiating. The visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
