Ardith Isham, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Monarch Meadows, in New London, Wisconsin.
Ardith, 93, was born on July 4, 1933 in LeRoy, Minnesota, to the late Leon and Agnus (Lamon) Lappin. She married Gilbert Isham on May 28, 1953 in Milwaukee, sharing almost 62 years together before his passing in 2015.
Ardith worked as a secretary at Chrysler in Milwaukee for a number of years. She had a sweet tooth, was a member of the Red Hat Society and Big Brothers – Big Sisters, as well as a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in New London. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting, travelling with her husband, being outside, and especially spending time at their property on the Wolf River.
Ardith will be dearly missed by her daughter-in-law, Deatra Isham; grandchildren, Ami (Lionel “Mike”) Isham-Masse, and Michelle Isham; great grandchildren, Samantha Newman, Kaiden Vadhais, and Misha Masse. She is now at peace, embraced by the grace of God and reunited with her parents, Leon and Agnus; her husband, Gilbert; her sisters, Beverly Lappin and Darlene Kawalske; and her son, Dennis. She will always be remembered for her faith, love, and the light she brought into the world.
The Funeral Service for Ardith will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026, at United Methodist Church in New London, Wisconsin, with Rev. Debi VanDenBoom officiating. Friends and family will gather from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be next to Gilbert in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, Wisconsin.
