Audrey's Funeral Service Video

Audrey Anne Conradt, age 87, of Shiocton, found her eternal home in heaven on Friday, April 14, 2023. Audrey was born on June 20, 1935 in New London to the late Alfred and Lorena (Danke) Pieper. Audrey married her husband Charlie on September 21, 1957. They shared 60 wonderful years together. She was a lifetime member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London, and would be glad to know her final service will be held in the traditional church she loved. Audrey attended New London High School and the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. She worked as a pre-school teacher's aide for many years, before graduating to the kindergarten classroom, where she worked until her retirement.

Audrey enjoyed attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, traveling, tending to her flower garden, getting together with the Coffee Clutch ladies, and, most of all, spending time with family and friends. In her younger years, Audrey was involved in 4-H and community events, such as the Harvest Festival and with the Ladies Aide at Emanuel. Audrey will be lovingly remembered for many things, including vacations with family, always making sure there was more than enough food, and spoiling everyone at Christmas. "Grandma Charlie" taught all of her grandchildren how to play Michigan Rummy and Rummy 500, which she played with them often. Audrey was a true matriarch and made sure her children and grandchildren knew the importance of God and family.

Audrey is survived by her daughters, Laurie (Mike) Behnke, Kay Conradt, and Amy (Jim) McGlone; son-in-law, Randy Van Straten; grandchildren, Annie (Justin) Preisler, Ted (Kayla) Van Straten, Kristie and Michael "Joe" Behnke, Macy, Tucker, Sawyer, and Ryder McGlone; great-grandchildren, William, Tommy, and Audrey Van Straten, and Lucy, Eleanor, Vince, and Mabel Preisler; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy (Jeannine) Conradt, Janice (Tom) Van Straten, and Jim Booth. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband Charlie; son, Greg Conradt; daughter, Kerrie Van Straten; brother, Keith Pieper; parents; father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Martha Conradt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Victor (Marian) Conradt, Reno (Pat) Conradt, Gordon "Bob" (Marion) Conradt, Lola Mae (Adolph) Pleshek, Charlotte (Marley) Merholtz, Margaret Conradt, Dorothy (Joe) Karbel, James (Joanne) Conradt and Verla Booth.

The funeral service for Audrey will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Emanuel Lutheran church in New London with Pastor Mark Tiefel officiating. Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Borchardt Moder Funeral Home in Shiocton and again on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Bovina Cemetery in the Township of Bovina.

A special thank you to Peg, Alyssa and Eve for the loving care they have given Audrey.
