Audrey's Funeral Service Video

Audrey Effie Cunningham, age 88 of New London, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024 at her home.  Audrey was born on May 14, 1936 in Casco, WI to the late Lawrence and Esther (Luedtke) Meister.  Audrey graduated from Clintonville High School with the Class of 1954.  She went on to attend UW Oshkosh, receiving her Bachelor of Science in early childhood education in 1958.  Audrey married Art Cunningham on June 12, 1965. Over the years, she taught in Menasha, Evansville, Shiocton, Sugar Bush and finally, Raymonville, TX, where she retired from. Audrey invested a lifetime in education.  She was active in her church, Emanuel Lutheran in New London, taking part in chorus and playing piano and guitar.  In high school, Audrey played the clarinet in the band.  Traveling was a pleasure for Audrey.  She snow birded to Texas each winter for many years.  In later years, as her sight failed, she remained active in church choir and managed to knit right up to the end.  Audrey's faith sustained and guided her.  She wished for nobody to be saddened by her passing.  She eagerly awaited meeting her Savior face-to-face.  Audrey is doing the jig with her good friend, Dora!

Audrey is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Wayne) Dow and Candy Janke; her grandchildren, Zachary (Tamara) Janke, Hannah (Andrew) Ralston, Callie Cunningham, Ruth Dow and Emily Dow; four great-grandchildren and her brother, Edward Meister.

In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her husbands; son, Christopher; sister, Arline and sister-in-law, Patricia Meister.

The Memorial Service for Audrey will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Pastor Mark Tiefel officiating.  The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville.
