Audrey Diermeier's Funeral Mass Video
Audrey Ann (Keesler) Diermeier peacefully passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 with family by her side. Audrey was born on July 1, 1932 at home, on the Town of Bovina family farm, the youngest of two children of Virgil and Adeline (Jacobs) Keesler. She attended country school, and then Shiocton High School, graduating the valedictorian of the class of 1950. On June 30, 1951, Audrey married Gerald R. Diermeier. Gerald worked where work could be found, then in 1955, Audrey and Gerald bought the family farm and continued building a life. Audrey made a wonderful home for her husband and six children, as well as working alongside Gerald on the farm. For 25 years, Audrey delivered the Appleton Post Crescent every day – a one hundred mile route. She treasured the many friends she made on the route.
Audrey was born in a time when people took time to write a letter, stop and chat and maintain strong friendships. She truly loved her family and friends. She prayed daily for her family, mentioning each one of them by name. Audrey was a life-long, faithful member of St. Denis Catholic Church, where she was active in the St. Anne's Society. She was also a 67-year member of Shiocton Unit 512 American Legion Auxiliary.
Audrey loved gardening, both vegetables and flowers. She planted and nurtured the flowers at the church in her retirement community of Silver Cliff, Wisconsin. She enjoyed daily cribbage games with Gerald, as well as fishing and snowmobiling. Audrey loved to socialize and be with Gerald when he played with "The Merrymakers".
Audrey will be remembered and missed for hundreds of reasons, a few among them are her wonderful cooking, candy making, and mixing a mean old fashioned.
Audrey is survived by her children, Jim (Cathy) Diermeier, Jack (Tracy) Diermeier, Kathy (Ken) Van Camp, Gene (Lynn) Diermeier, Sal (Ron) Korth and Cindy (Brian) Plamann; twenty grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister in-law, Judy Keesler and brother, Pat Keesler. She is survived by nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald; daughter in-law, Donna Diermeier; brother and sister in-law, Buzz and Gen Keesler; brother in-law, Donald Diermeier; brother in-law and sister in-law, Dennis and Bonnie Diermeier; brother in-law and sister in-law, Norb and Carmen Merkes.

John Kleinschmidt at 11:00 am, on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at St. Patrick's Parish, N3686 WI-76, Stephensville, WI. Visitation is from 9:00 am until 11:00 am, at the church, prior to the Mass on April 20. Burial will be in the St. Denis Cemetery, Town of Bovina.
