Barbara M.
Schiedermayer
April 11, 1946 – February 1, 2025
Barbara Schiedermayer Memorial Service Video
Barbara M Schiedermayer, 78, was born in Chicago on April 11, 1946. Barb was a beautiful woman inside and out and won the genetic lottery with her natural dark brown hair. Barb met Michael in 2010 shortly after Valentine's Day at Katie Bell's in The Villages, FL. They were attending a get-together with some members of the newly established Single Baby Boomer's group. She and Michael hit it off from the start, feeling like they had known each other for years, and they were always grateful to the SBB group. They were married in June 2010
Barb got a real estate license a year later so she could work together with Michael. In 2019, they relocated to Wisconsin due to a parent's failing health and also to be closer to other family members.
Barb was an accomplished golfer, an extremely supportive life-partner, and a meticulous planner. She also enjoyed reading and Sudoku, and loved working on jigsaw puzzles, music, singing, watching movies, and taking walks hand-in-hand and observing animals and nature with Michael. Barb had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh.
After 14 ½ wonderful years of marriage, Barb suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and was called to God on February 1, 2025 and will be deeply missed by many.
Barb is preceded in death by her parents William and Marie (Filipek) Dzurny, siblings Sonny, Jay, Greg and Clare, and her late husband Dave Hansen. She is survived by her husband Michael, siblings Dave (Sandy) Dzurny and Monica (Ron) Wesson, stepchildren Katie (Nick) Cruz, Becca, Eli and Noah and many nieces and nephews.
The Memorial Service for Barbara will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Fr. Phil Schoofs officiating. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
