Barbara Timm Funeral Service Video
Barbara "Barbie" Timm, age 71, Town of Center, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Barb was born in Appleton, on November 18, 1953 to Donald and the late Rita (Helms) Van Elzen. She graduated from Kimberly High School in 1972 and married Gary Timm on August 30, 1985.
Barbie was a beloved wife for 39 years, as well as a mother, grandmother, sister and friend. As the eldest of 10 siblings, she started working at a young age for the family business, Van Elzen Apple Orchard. She also hosted foreign exchange students and ran the "Foxes Locker" at Fox Valley Lutheran. Being able to stay home and take care of her three boys, and seeing all their personal accomplishments, was her greatest joy. She also enjoyed camping and spending time with her grandchildren.
Barbie is survived by her father, Don Van Elzen; her loving husband, Gary; her sons, Christopher (Amy), Andrew (Katie), Eric (Jade); grandchildren, Bryce, Carlyle, Gunnar, Chailei, and Wyatt; siblings, Dave (Dawn) Van Elzen, Jeanie (Jeff) Baumgart, Jerry (Bev) Van Elzen, Lori (Dan) Vosters, John Van Elzen, Jim (Nancy) Van Elzen, Joe (Paige) Van Elzen, Mary (Mike) Demerath, Andy (Debbie) Van Elzen. She was further survived by numerous nieces and nephews; Godchildren, Jacci Vanden Heuvel, Tyler Van Elzen; in-laws, Janet (Bill) Meyer, Ralph (Helen) Timm, Judy Kuepper, Bill (Lisa) Timm; other relatives, and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rita; brother-in-law, Todd Kuepper; and nephew, Cody Van Elzen.
The family would like to thank the Appleton Medical Center ICU nurses, Randy, Jasmine, and Peter, along with the ThedaCare at Home Hospice team.
