Bernard Krueger Funeral Service Video

Bernard "Butch" Karl Krueger, age 90 of New London, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.  Butch was born on December 19, 1934 in New London to the late Karl and Adeline (Beckman) Krueger.  He was united in marriage to Carol Westphal on December 21, 1954 in Oahu, Hawaii.  She preceded him in death in 2018.  Butch graduated from New London High School in 1952.  Following that he joined the US Marine Corps and served his country from 1952 – 1955.  He was a life-long member of Emanuel Lutheran Church.  Butch was employed as an engineer at Miller Electric and retired from there after many years.  He enjoyed gardening, leather tooling and was a skilled wood carver.

Butch is survived by his children, Steven (Debbie) Krueger, Peter (Sandy) Krueger, Nancy Gonzalez, Michael (Barbara) Krueger and Jayne (Matthew) Gamsky; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; his brother, Rev. David Krueger; sister, Avis; brother-in-law, Henry Williams and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Butch was preceded in death by his siblings, Russell (Myrtie) Krueger, Marlene Williams and Ann (Rev. John) Parcher.

The Funeral Service for Bernard will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London with Pastor Marcus Schulz officiating.  The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Full Military Honors will take place following the service at the church.  Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London in the spring.
