Betty L. (Retzlaff) Manley, age 82 passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.  Betty was born on January 17, 1940, in the town of Ellington to the late George and Evelyn (Budtke) Retzlaff.  She was cared for by her very special grandparents, Gus and Anna Retzlaff, for several years.  Betty was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church, the town of Center and confirmed in April 1954 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville.  She went on to attend school in the one-room schoolhouse in Ellington and later attended Bethlehem Lutheran School, Hortonville High School and graduated with the class of 1958 from New London High School.  Betty was united in marriage to Lyle Manley and they later divorced. She enjoyed sending cards to loved ones for all occasions, taking pictures, traveling-especially to beaches, cooking, baking and collecting angels.  Betty worked at Heritage Animal Hospital in Hortonville and also at Wisconsin DHI in Appleton.  She was a longtime member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London.

Betty is survived by her children, Cheryl (Pat) Hanagan, Terry Manley (Kathy), Cindy Baker (Dan), Todd (Laura) Manley and Cathy Manley (Jim); fifteen wonderful grandchildren; sixteen special great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol Longworth, Janice Suprise, Peggy (Dow) Miller, Sherry Fietzer, Debbie (Jim) Olesen and Sue (Tim) Bohr; brothers, Roger (Bubs) Retzlaff and Randy (Ingrid) Retzlaff and sister-in-law, Maren Retzlaff, along with many nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; special grandparents; grandsons, Travis and Dustin; sisters, Sandy Retzlaff, Marilyn Sawall and Barb Waterstradt; brothers, Gene, Richard, Robert, Billy and Gary Retzlaff; sisters-in-law, Lorraine, Cathy and Mary Retzlaff and brothers-in-law, Wendell Longworth and Red Suprise.

The funeral service for Betty will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London.  The visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
