It's with great sadness that our beloved Betty J. Schuelke, age 70 of New London, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.  Cancer claimed another victim.  She so wanted to fight, but her body was beyond able to.  Betty was born on October 25, 1954 in New London to the late Robert and Gladys (Schneidewend) Reinke of Bear Creek.  Betty attended schools in Clintonville and graduated from Clintonville High School.  She lived at home with her parents, who had sold the family farm and bought a bar in Sugar Bush.  Betty bartended for her parents and met the love of her life Kelly Schuelke there.  They were married on May 25, 1974 at Grace Lutheran Church in Sugar Bush.  She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom raising their 3 boys, sometimes babysitting for the neighbor's children.  Betty had an artistic talent and eye for creating beautiful home décor items.  Many seasons had special pieces put on display in and around her home, inside and out.  Betty was also a great cook and many recipes from her mother made it to her table. Baking was also something she did well and spoiled family and friends with her sweet treats, especially cupcakes.  She had a love of gardening and flowers were a big part of that.  In the wintertime, you would find her putting puzzles together.  More often than not, the puzzles would be of cats. The Green Bay Packers were her team and game days were spent at rotating friend's home or a local establishment.  Some of Betty's most treasured times were spent with her grandchildren.

Betty will be deeply missed by her sons, Christopher, Aaron (Amy), Dillon; siblings, Merlin Reinke, Beverly Glocke and Lois Herzfeldt; sister-in-law, Joanne Reinke; Laurie Schuelke, mother of her grandchildren, Molly and William; brother-in-law, Randy (Carin) Schuelke and sister-in-law, the twin sister of her late husband, Kay Krause.  Also surviving her, are numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and other family and friends.  A special shout out to all of her high school girlfriends, who she retained a friendship with over the many years. Last, but not least, her cat, London.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly; mother and father-in-law, Marlea and Oscar Schuelke; brothers, Michael and Alan Reinke and brother-in-law, Doug Glocke.

The Memorial Service for Betty will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Cline & Hanson Funeral home in New London.  The visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
