Bonita Beyer's Funeral Service Video
Bonita June Beyer, age 90 of Shiocton, entered her heavenly home on Friday, July 29, 2022. Bonita was born on September 4, 1931 in Portage County to the late Harold and Selma (Anderson) Neubauer. She was united in marriage to Donald Beyer on September 3, 1949. He preceded her in death in 2006. Bonita was a city girl, but quickly became a farm girl after marriage. Her career was caring for her family. She enjoyed taking trips up north and singing in church. From a young age, she excelled musically and was a church soloist. Bonita was a faithful and active member of Messiah Ev. Lutheran Church in Shiocton, the Ladies of Messiah and also organized the annual cookie fundraiser for the church.
Bonita is survived by her children: Sally (Bob) Ritchie, Shiocton; Donald (Colleen) Beyer, Shiocton; Nancy (Douglas) Webb, Redgranite; Virginia (Wilfred) Pierre, Clintonville and Lisa (Bob) Schroeder, Hortonville. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Bradley (Jennifer) Ritchie, Matthew (Julie) Ritchie, Krista Bolssen, Jaclyn (Mitchel) Pelky, Jana Hennings, Todd (Lisa) Beyer, Paula Beyer, Katie (Michael) Schmidt, Julie (Chris) Slick, Tracie (Robert) Conant, David (Sarah) Kirchner, Wayne (Sara) Pierre, Nicole (Lance) Hill, Susan (Kevin) Meyer, Donald Pierre, Kody (Karen) Schroeder and Paige (Jason) Philipps. Bonita is further survived by her great-grandchildren: Syndey, Caleb, Hayden & Reid Ritchie; Kayla & Ryan Ritchie; Jacob & Emily Bolssen; Tyler & Elizabeth Pelky; Kandra & Colton Hurt; Evan & Madelyn Beyer; Olivia, Levi, & Noelle Schmidt; Allyssa Slick (Nathaniel Phillippi); Brandon (Brooke) Slick; Tyler, Aiden, Seth & Kiera Conant; Joseph, Jackson, Michael & Lillian Kirchner; Lydia, Caleb, Ruth & Rachel Pierre; Jonas, Isaac, Johanna, Chloe & Tess Hill; and Nathan, Simon & Benjamin Meyer. Also surviving her, are her Godchildren, Timothy Neubauer, James Beyer and Susan Hill; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roy and Patricia Beyer and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Bonita was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Adela Beyer and her siblings, Marvin (Dorothy) Neubauer, Eileen (Russell) Beyer, Robert (Erna) Beyer, and Carol (Earl) Ludtke.
The funeral service for Bonita will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Messiah Ev. Lutheran Church in Shiocton with Pastor Bradley Ragner officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Shiocton/Bovina cemetery following the service.
The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to the staff at Brewster Village for the loving care that was given to Bonita. Many were like family to her!
