Bonnie J. May, age 60 of New London, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 20, 2024 at her home. She was born on July 17, 1964 in Clintonville to the late Howard and Eileen (Sell) May. Bonnie graduated from Marion High School with the Class of 1982. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a woman of remarkable strength and resilience, facing life's challenges with grace and determination. Despite suffering a stroke twelve years ago, she never lost her zest for life. Know for her warm heart and unwavering loyalty, Bonnie considered her friends as family. She had a passion for life, finding joy in simple pleasures like reading, crocheting and crafting intricate beadwork. Cooking was another of Bonnie's passions, and her kitchen was always filled with the aroma of delicious meals. Christmas held a special place in her heart. The song "Silent Night" always brought tears of joy and a flood of cherished memories. Bonnie was a generous soul, always thinking of others before herself. She will be remembered for her kindness, her infectious laughter and the profound impact she had on the lives of those she loved.
Bonnie is survived by her son, Bo R. Gehling (significant other, Amy); her fiancé, Robert Rasmussen; three grandchildren and one on the way. She is further survived by her siblings, Cheryl Lederhaus, Myron "Ron" May, Terrence (Rebecca) May and Diane May.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her siblings, Randall, Ralph Richard and Marsha May and her nephew, Aaron.
