Carol Hulet's Funeral Service Video Carol M. Hulet, age 93 of New London, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022, at St. Joseph Residence in New London.  Carol was born on October 24, 1928, to the late Leo and Olga (Felsner) Meshke.  She was united in marriage to Theodore Hulet at Emanuel Lutheran in New London on February 18, 1951.  Carol worked for her parents in Meshke's Grocery Store, later owning the store until its eventual closing and sale. In their early years, she and Ted farmed, primarily raising chickens.  She was Ted's bookkeeper for his construction business.  Carol was involved in the New London Homemaker's Club and enjoyed traveling with her brother and sister-in-law, John and Jean.  She was a personal friend of Johnny Cash- she was the head of the Johnny Cash Fan Club.  Carol was a hard worker and had little time for hobbies- but always made time to admire her friend Johnny and enjoy his music.

Carol is survived by her sister, Eileen Redemann; eleven nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; parents, Leo and Olga; her brothers, David (Caroline) Meshke and John (Jean) Meshke and brother-in-law, Warren Redemann.

The funeral service for Carol will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Rev. Mark Tiefel officiating.  Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.
