Carol Jane Marten passed away after a brief illness on September 28, 2026 in New London, Wisconsin. She was born in Fremont WI on August 23, 1932, the daughter of Eric and Elsie (Sander) Toepke.

Carol married the love of her life, Ralph Marten on March 17, 1951 and they enjoyed 75 years together. Carol was an avid bowler and skilled baker, she also enjoyed gardening and playing cards.

Carol is survived by her husband Ralph; her daughters Julie (Steven) Yaeger, and Janet (William) Lamers; her grandson Benjamin (Anna) Lamers; as well as other nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her parents; three brothers Russell, Gordon, and Arden Toepke; sister Dolores (Kenneth) Michels, as well as infant sister Beatrice Toepke; brothers-in-law Alvin (Oradell) Marten, Wayne Marten.

A private family service will be held for Carol at St Paul Cemetery in Fremont WI on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, with Pastor Bill Heiges presiding.

Her family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph Residence for the care they gave to Carol during her time with them.
