Charles "Chuck" Raymond Claybaugh, died on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024 at the age of 83. He was born on February 14th, 1941, in Peoria, IL the son of Milan D. and Ruth D. (Dungan) Claybaugh. He married Karen L. Heinie on July 24th, 1964. She survives him.

Chuck grew up with his two sisters (Alma "Jerry" Hill and Katy Gnehm) and brother Jim Claybaugh. Chuck was raised on a farm outside Brimfield, Il, where he developed a love for animals, especially dogs. Chuck graduated from Brimfield High School in Brimfield, Il, where he was class president. Chuck attended Western Illinois in Macomb, IL, graduating with a degree in education. Chuck initially taught middle school in Lacon, Il, where he met Karen. Together they had three children: Kristin (Matt) Wicks, Bret (Lorie) Claybaugh, and Craig (Catherine) Claybaugh. Chuck left teaching to work on computer mainframes in the late 1960s at Allstate insurance in Chicago. Chuck and Karen lived in 6 states before settling in Greenville, WI in the 1980s. Chuck worked in Information technology until he opened his own auto parts store in 1990. In 2001, Chuck semi retired and started driving the school bus in Hortonville, WI. In retirement Chuck liked to travel and eat breakfast with other retired people in New London, WI. Chuck drove his motorcycle all over the country/continent including to Alaska.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Karen: daughter, Kristin Wicks (Matt); son, Craig (Catherine); sister, Katy Gnehm; brother, Jim and grandchildren, Taylor Churney, Naomi Churney, Siri Claybaugh, Carter Churney, Natalie Claybaugh, Alonzo Wicks, and Marcy O'Dell (Ben).

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents (Milan and Ruth); son, Bret Claybaugh; grandson, Payton Claybaugh and sister Jerry.
