Cindy Lou Thorne, age 60 of Dale, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2023.  Cindy was born on October 9, 1962 in New London.  She was united in marriage to Michael Thorne on August 11, 1984.  Cindy loved to garden and be outdoors.  She taught her daughter how to cross stitch.  She enjoyed zombie movies, reading- especially Stephen King books and playing Legos with her granddaughter.  Cindy loved all creatures great and small- some of her favorites were carousel horses, cats and penguins.  Family meant everything to her and she was everybody's "mom".

Cindy is survived by her husband, Michael; mother-in-law, Karen Thorne; children, Adam and Tabytha (Dan Smith) Thorne; granddaughter, Wilhelmina Thorne; brother-in-law, Tony Thorne; sister-in-law, Sandy Thorne; brother, John Janke (Jackie); sister,  Laurie (Tim) Schmandt;  nephews, Malachi Janke, Britton Janke and nieces, Stephanie Gerard and C.J. Janke.  She is further survived by extended family.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Carol (Haefs) Janke ; father-in-law, Robert Thorne and mother-in-law, Sue Zuhlke.

The funeral service for Cindy will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Borchardt Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville with Rev. Kevin Dembinski officiating.  The visitation will take place from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
