In the sunny afternoon on November 8, 2024, Cleopatra, better known as “Cleo”, age 16, passed away peacefully in her bed wrapped in her blanket. On the day of her adoption, Cleo was no bigger than a Pepsi can. She soon became friends with Honey, her black lab sibling who she followed everywhere. At one point, Cleo was Honey’s dentist who cleaned almost every tooth. Some of Cleo’s best talents were hiding under a warm blanket, barking at everything that walked past “her house”, prancing when walking through the neighborhood, and wearing seasonal sweaters and Easter dresses. She was not a fan of snow boots only wearing them once and choosing to donate them to another canine. Cleo was a trooper when her owner Rev. Kevin Dembinski moved during his profession as a United Methodist Pastor serving Algoma, Kewaunee, Marinette, Peshitgo, Harmony, Bay View, and finally New London, WI currently as a Funeral Director and part time Pastor. Cleo was excellent in touching the hearts of those who watched her while being boarded. It was an expectation from Cleo to receive belly rubs, a blanket to go under and sleep, McDonald french fries, not being woken up before 9 AM, being carried in the snow, and a new bed from Santa each year. Cleo truly lived her name of royal living.

Cleo is survived by her owner, Rev. Kevin Dembinski; pet siblings, Rex, Sophie, Wesley John, and Whitefield. Cleo was preceded in death by pet siblings, Honey, Sugar, Susanna.

In the spirit of Cleo, wrap up in a warm blanket, enjoy a good nap, and don’t be afraid to let your voice be heard.
