Cody Immel's Funeral Service Video

Cody Lee Immel, age 39, of New London, Wisconsin, passed away tragically in a motor vehicle accident on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Cody was born on August 30, 1984, in New London, to Randis and Karen (Kersten) Immel. He graduated from New London High School in 2003, after 4 years of wrestling. He carried with him a love for weight lifting.

After graduation, Cody worked as a superintendent for CR Meyer. He met his wife, Elise (Hoewisch), through frequenting Charlie's Place in Hortonville, and from the day they wed, on July 20, 2013, his pride quickly became his family. The way he could take care of them with teasing, tickling, hugging, and a bit of roughness, will never be forgotten.  With his quick wit, big, lively personality and his dimple-revealing smile, Cody could light up the room and make his presence known to all. He was loved by everyone. He was a hard working guy and could fix anything and everything Elise broke. He enjoyed grilling out and boating, but his greatest treasure in life was his wife, Elise, and his amazing daughters, Myla (12) and Eva (9).

Cody is survived by his loving wife, Elise; his two beautiful daughters, Myla and Eva; parents, Randis and Karen Immel; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Wally and Maxine Hoewisch; sister, Shelly (John) Schmoller and their daughter Charlotte; Grandmother, Marilyn Kersten; brother-in-law, Kirk (Jennifer) Hoewisch; sister-in-laws, Stacy Hinz, Allison Hoewisch (Tom Adams), Andrea (Jay) Weyenberg, and Brooke Hoewisch (Jake Lepak). He is further survived by many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cody was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Kersten; and grandparents, Victor and Mabel Immel.

The funeral service for Cody will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church in New London, with Rev. Chuck Thompson officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London and also, on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
