Darwin "Doc" Buelow, age 83, of New London, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at ThedaCare New London Hospital after a lengthy struggle with health issues.

Born and raised in rural New London, Doc was the son of Kermit and Dolores (Neuendorf) Buelow. As a teenager, he worked as a milk can carrier, proudly telling stories about being able to carry a full milk can in each arm to load on the truck. He later dedicated more than 40 years at Borden's/Saputo, working as a cheese grader, retiring in 2005.

He enjoyed warm summer days where he would ride around the neighborhood on his 4 wheeler and in his later years his golf cart, always getting the latest gossip from the neighbors.

Doc married Karen in 1964 and celebrated more than 61 years of marriage. He devoted his life to his four children: Mark (Jody), Tammy (Dan) Kent, Anne, and Melissa. He was a proud grandpa to Stephanie (Will), Brittany (special friend, Patrick), Lucas (Nicole), Kyle (special friend, Earlaine), Carlos and Jasmine and a great grandpa to Weston, Savannah and Olivia.

Doc treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, who were always willing to help out. Whether taking them for rides on the four-wheeler or in the golf cart, trips to Dupont cheese factory, tending the garden, or wandering through the apple trees, those simple times brought him his greatest joy.

He is further survived by his sister, Darla and in laws Kathy Buelow, Charles (Kris) Learman, Bonnie (Phil) Meyer and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dennis and DuWayne. Doc deeply missed his daily phone calls with DuWayne—conversations filled with stories, laughter, and the comfort of brotherhood.

A memorial service celebrating Doc's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Grace Lutheran Church in Sugar Bush with Pastor Caleb Rothfuss officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at a later date at Ruckdashel Cemetery.

Doc's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors and caregivers who provided him with such compassionate care over the years.
