David Francis Flease, 74 of New London, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on June 26th, 2026. David was born on January 26th, 1952 to Francis “Pete” Flease and Selma “Sally” (Warmbier) Flease. David grew up in rural New London on a dairy farm. After graduating from New London High School in 1970, Dave went to UW-Platteville to study electrical engineering. It was there that he discovered his love for traveling. Through a college course, he traveled to Europe and decided to stay, dropping out of college to explore for the next several months. When he finally returned home, he began courses at Fox Valley Tech, earning his license as an electrician. In 1978, David started his own business, Wolf River Electric (later Flease Electric) serving New London and surrounding areas. David was an active member of the community as a member of Jaycees and the Knights of Columbus, on the board for the Waupaca County Fair, volunteering for the Mukwa Fire Department and, later, sitting on the board of B.A.B.E.S. and volunteering with Head Start. What few knew is David was a good samaritan. He was the guy who would hear of a family struggling and bring them food, anonymously give cash, or hire someone so they could learn a trade and pay their bills. There were a number of calls where a widow needed a lightbulb changed and he would do it without charge while also making sure her house was being maintained. He had a true servant's heart.
On September 9th, 1978, David married Deborah Faskell. Together they had three children. David is survived by son, Joshua (Morgan) Flease; daughter, Phawn (Jeffrey) Mancini; daughter, Chivon (Adam) Bohm and grandchildren; Kaeden, Bella, Cohen, Willow, Judah, Armanno, Arrow, Alessio, Macy and Jubilee. He is also survived by his brother, Don Flease; brother Dan (Debbie) Flease; brother, Dennis (Peggy) Flease; brother Doug (Marcia) Flease; sister, Debbie (fiancé, Nick) Wickman and his nieces and nephews.
David is preceded in death by his parents, aunts and uncles and his niece, Gina Flease.
Funeral services for David will be held on Friday, July 10th, 2026 at 11:00AM at Cline-Hanson Funeral Home in New London. Visitation will be from 9:00 until time of service.
