David Paul Pieper passed away peacefully on Thursday October 22, 2026, in Appleton, Wisconsin at the age of 83. Born June 10, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Clarence and Cecilia (Tomzak) Pieper. He was a photographer for the Post Cresent and had his own studio in Appleton, Wisconsin. David enjoyed carving wood in his spare time. People were good to him, and he had a wonderful sense of humor that drew people in. The staff at Brewster Village enjoyed caring for him.

David is survived by his sister Barbara (Robert) Ostendorf and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Cecilia, his adoptive parents Harold and Adela Pieper, as well as his brothers Vernon Pieper and John Pieper.

The family wants to issue a special thanks to the staff at Brewster Village, ThedaCare Hospice, Guardians of Tomorrow as well as David’s neighbors Mike and Cathy Vande Hei.
