Dawn M. McConnell, age 53 of New London, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 28, 2023.  Dawn was born on July 3, 1970 in New London to Norbert and Debra (Otto) Gebert. Debra preceded her in death.  Dawn married Gary McConnell on December 31, 2012.  Dawn enjoyed gambling at the casino for fun.  One of her favorite things was spending time with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed going to her aunt and uncle's cottage.  Dawn started her nursing career in Shawano and then moved up to assisted living Medical Director for several years in New London at Kindred Hearts.

Dawn is survived by her husband, Gary; children, Devon Ryan (Hunter Moy), Zach Ryan, Jordan Kuhnke, Cody McConnell and Amber McConnell (Nick Buffone); brother, Tony Gebert and friend, Kelly; sister, Shelly Kuhnke; brother-in-law, Brian Kuhnke; brothers, Nicolas Gebert, Christian Gebert and Andrew Gebert; father, Norbert (Jane) Gebert; grandchildren, Skylah and Sylas Ryan and their mother, April Hardegen, Khaleesi Ryan, Caiden Morris and Ella Buffone.  She is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Dawn was preceded in death by her mother, Debra (Chet) Lyon; grandparents, August and Leona Otto and Clarence and Elizabeth Gebert; brothers-in-law, Jon and Jim McConnell; son, Keenan McConnell; granddaughter, Olivia Buffone and father and mother-in-law, Jon and Chris McConnell.

The family wants to thank close family members for the support and care.

A Celebration of Life for Dawn will be held on October 7, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the American Legion in New London. Food will be provided as well as bottles of water.
