Debra's Funeral Service

Debra Jean Hilker, of New London, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the age of 74. Debra was born in New London on November 25, 1950, to the late Roy and Geneva (Kloehn) Hilker.

Debra was raised on a farm where she drove tractors and milked cows with her siblings. She made many friends while waitressing in the Kaukauna / Little Chute area during her younger years and she went on to work for Jacks Pizza until her retirement. Debra was very involved with her nieces and nephews and she spent countless hours caring for and visiting with them. She loved to play UNO and other card games. She was an avid Green Bay Packer's fan. Debra was a born caregiver, with a compassionate heart, and she was a caretaker for her mother and her aunt. She was an angel for her mother and selfless with her time.

Debra is survived by her siblings, Dennis (Carol) Hilker, DuWayne Hilker, Darlene (Don) Casey, and DeAnn Miller (Joe), nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces, and nephews, along with numerous other relatives, friends; and two God-children, Kevin Otten and Christopher Hilker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Geneva; her grandparents, Mammie and Pa; an aunt, Louise Tate and an uncle, Ronald Tate; sisters-in-law, Linda Hilker and Rose Hilker; and brother-in-law, Dennis Miller.

The family would like to thank the staffs at St. Joes and Moments Hospice for their care and compassion, along with Pastor Tiefel, whose serenading provided comfort to Debbie; and Lori & Tom Hilker for all they have done.

The Funeral Service for Debra will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Chapel in St. Joe's Nursing Home in New London, with Rev. Mark Tiefel officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. A Private Family Burial will take place at New Maple Creek Cemetery at a later date.

Donations can be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church.
