Delores A. (Guerin) Davis, age 97, of New London, passed away peacefully at Trinity Terrace on March 3, 2025. Delores was born on March 11, 1927 in Bessemer, Michigan, to George and Selma (Neumann) Guerin. She was the second oldest of 5 children. When she was 2, her father moved the family to New London, to provide a better life for his family.  In 1940, Delores tragically lost both of her parents. Delores and her siblings were separated, living with relatives.  Delores and her sister went back to Michigan to live with their aunt, uncle and cousins. She was confirmed at Sharon Lutheran Church and graduated from Johnson High School, with the class of 1945, in Bessemer, Michigan.

After graduating high school, she moved back to the New London area and found work at the American Plywood wood products factory. She soon met the love of her life, Ward Davis, and they married November 1, 1947. They were married 51 years and were blessed with 4 All-American children. When her children were age-appropriate, Delores returned to the work force and was employed at the Hortonville Toy Factory until she retired in 1985.   In retirement, Delores enjoyed caring for her 5 grandchildren, as well as tending her gardens and rose bushes.  Delores loved cooking and baking.  She was known for her homemade Finnish pasties and sweet and sour green beans.

Delores is survived by her daughter, Sherie Euhardy; 2 sons Bruce (Marsha) Davis, New London and Gary Davis, Oshkosh; daughter-in-law, Diane Davis, Appleton; 5 grandchildren, Allan (Cristy) Euhardy, Appleton, Brian (Rhonda) Euhardy, Manawa, Adrianne (Kyle) Majorowicz, Oshkosh, Arica (Tony) Brooks, New London and Cody (Kat) Davis, New London; great-grandchildren, Travis, Jacob, Hunter, Conrad, Natalie, Mackenzie, Maycie, Maddilyn, Chloe, and Olivia; one great-great grandchild, Alex, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Ward; son, Rex; son-in-law, David Euhardy; siblings, Don (Ilene), Harland (Mickie), Gwendolyn (Archie Hehman) and Larry (Bev); in-laws, Kenneth (Verna) Davis, Verna (Mike) Ricker, Don (Alice) Davis, Glenn Davis and Lois (Dennis) Zemple, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral for Delores will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Tiefel officiating. The burial will take place at the Ostrander Cemetery, Northport, Wisconsin later this spring.

The family would like to thank the staff at Trinity Terrace for the wonderful, compassionate care they provided to our mother and also to the Moments Hospice staff and the Community Care team for their support and comfort in her final days.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a monetary contribution to Emanuel Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
