Delores Sorensen's Memorial Service Video

Delores Marie Sorensen, age 84, of Monarch Meadows at St. Joseph Residence, New London, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Delores was born on October 19, 1939 in Shiocton, to the late Edward and Birdie (Bodoh) McHugh. She married William Sorensen on May 13, 1961.

Delores taught home economics at Shiocton High School for 32 years. She enjoyed going to rummage sales, sewing and gardening. She loved playing the accordion, making pies and getting together with family.

Delores is survived by her loving husband William of 62 years; her son, Wade (Corinne) Sorensen; her granddaughter, Lorin (Dave) Weinmann; and her grandchild, Raine. She is further survived by her siblings, Ken McHugh (special friend, Arlene) and Kathy Prunty; along with nieces and nephews, Pam, Karen, Donna, Paula, Penny, Diana, Jim, Peter, and John.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Birdie; and two sisters, Mary Wehrman, and Marcie Surprise.

The funeral service for Delores will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at St. Joseph Residence Chapel in New London, with Rev. Joyce Rich officiating. Visitation will be at the chapel from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.

A Memorial Fund has been established.
