Delton Jeffers' Memorial Service Video

Delton "Del" W. Jeffers, age 84 of New London passed away in the comfort of his home on Sunday, November 12, 2023.

Del was born on November 6, 1939 in New London to the late Wilbur and Emma (Schoerning) Jeffers.  He was united in marriage to Nancy Spencer on April 16, 2000 at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.  Del worked at Graf's Beverages, Curwood, TriCity Glass and several grocery stores.  Del's favorite job was his own business; "Del's Painting." He enjoyed grilling and was found cooking and baking in the kitchen each and every day.  He loved sharing his specialties; banana nut bread, popcorn balls, homemade turtles, caramel corn and decorated sugar cookies.  He also enjoyed spending time in the garden and canning the harvest.  Del loved traveling to tropical, warm destinations, spending occasional winters in Arizona and Florida.  He welcomed all invitations from family and friends to play cribbage, smear, sheepshead, dominoes, 31 and board games.  Del loved fishing, especially in Crystal Falls, MI.  There are many stories to share about time spent in the boat.

Del is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Patricia Pantalons, Barbara (Edward) Chizek, Laurie Jeffers, Theresa (Greg) Thayer and Jennifer (Alan) Hansen; step-daughter, Kelly (Jim) Valentine; step-sons, Jeff (Patty) Young and Curtis Young. Grandchildren; Angie, Andrew, Anthony Pantalons, Amanda (Eric) Lynk, Elizabeth (Jason) Brunkey, Bill (Barbara) Chizek, Ryan and Ben Schinke, Scott (Gina) Thayer, Sarah (Dave) Williams, Coralee and Colton Hansen, Phillip and Brittiny Young, Erika and Saige Valentine; as well 18 great-grandchildren.

Del was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, John Pantalons; brother, Donald Jeffers and infant twin brother, Dwayne Jeffers.

The Memorial Service for Del will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Rev. Kevin Dembinski officiating.  The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.
