Diane's Funeral Service Video

Diane Ruth Wolfe (Selle), age 87 of New London, WI passed on to her heavenly home on April 8th, 2025. She was born January 27, 1938 in Oshkosh, the daughter of Emil and Ruth (Baugrud) Selle. A woman of unwavering faith, Diane devoted her life to God and to her family. Her love for the Lord was evident in everything she did, especially the way she cared for those around her. Diane poured her heart and soul into her children and grandchildren, and selflessly dedicated her life to caring for her son, Mark and daughter, Teri. Her unwavering devotion to her children is a reflection of the depth of her love and the incredible strength of her character. Alongside her role as a devoted mother, she worked for over 20 years at Hillshire.

Her legacy of love is extended even further through her grandchildren Courtney and Kayla, each one a precious thread in the tapestry of her heart. And in her great-granddaughter, Hattie Diane, she found more love to give— a bright new light in the family, full of joy and quiet strength. Through Hattie, Diane's name and spirit live on, a lasting reminder of the love and grace she gave so freely. In Courtney, Kayla, and Hattie—- Diane could look back on everything she had poured her heart and soul into— the true purpose of her life, shining through the ones she loved most.

Diane expressed her love most profoundly through her cooking. Diane's specialties were nothing short of legendary in her family and among her friends, including homemade pizza, chocolate chip pancakes, scotcheroos, deviled eggs, cheesy potatoes, strawberry jam and her love of canning vegetables. You knew you held a special place in Diane's heart when she hosted you for her famous Sunday Tacos.

Diane is survived by her children: Mark Wolfe and Teri (Wolfe) Casey (Mark); Grandchildren: Courtney Casey and Kayla (Casey) Loughrin (Connor); Great-granddaughter: Hattie Loughrin; Brother: Doug Selle (Leah); Niece: Lisa Stachowicz (Jason); Nephews: Gary Selle (Kathy), David Selle, Terry Selle (Kim), Darwin Selle (Bonnie), Mike Selle (Marcia) and Doug Selle; special cousin, who was like a sister: Gerry Brasch and many more extended family members and friends.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Ruth (Baugrud) Selle and brother and sister in-law Donald and Erdine Selle.

The Funeral Service for Diane will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Seth Dorn officiating.  The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Dale Union Cemetery at a later date.
