Dianne Bult's Funeral Mass Video

Dianne Mary (Dey) Bult, age 62 of New London, a beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday surrounded by her family, listening to her favorite polka music.  Dianne was brought into this world on September 9, 1960, the daughter of James and Frances Dey.  She grew up in Shiocton amongst her brother and two sisters, always getting into mischief and enjoying laughs along the way.  This mischief even continued throughout their adult lives.  She later moved to Ogdensburg and married John Ferg, where she had her only son, Jacob.  Dianne and John shared many wonderful memories together, but later divorced.  Dianne then met her companion for life, Steve Bult in the spring of 1988.  They were joined in marriage soon after on April 7, 1990 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London and began their life together.  Dianne and Steve shared wonderful memories together in their 33 years of marriage.  Dianne often coined the phrase "we could write a book with all of the crazy things we've done".  Amongst Dianne's favorite memories were time spent working on or driving around in classic cars, riding around the farm on her John Deere, dancing in the kitchen to her favorite polkas, decorating for each and every holiday, gardening, and any events that involved her family.  Together Dianne and Steve had three beautiful girls: Katherine, Stephanie, and Maraya.  She was also a proud grandmother of 3 girls, 3 boys, and two grand-dogs, all of whom she loved greatly.  Family remained at the center of Dianne's heart her whole life.  She enjoyed attending sporting events and theatrical shows, and was always the loudest supporter in the room!

Dianne worked at Hillshire Farms for 40 years, holding many different job titles, retiring in 2019. She was not one for sitting around too long, so she decided to come out of retirement.  With her caring heart, it was no surprise that she chose to work as a caregiver at an assisted living facility. Dianne was known by many for her helping hand, caring heart, and spunky attitude that mixed well with her zest for life.  When Dianne was around, there was never a dull moment or a chuckle spared.  Wherever she went it seemed as though somebody knew her, and if not she was quick to make a friend out of a stranger.  She was a light in many ways and will always be remembered for finding joy and fun in the littlest things.

Dianne is survived by her loving husband, Steve; children, Jake (Ashleigh) Ferg, Katherine (Mark) Much, Stephanie (Derek) Samson, and Maraya (Shu) Bult; her grandchildren, Isabella, Alexis, Austyn, Bentley, Azaleah, and Wesley.  She is further survived by her sisters, Kay (John) Smith and Sue (Bill) Collar; sister-in-law, Wendy Dey and many nieces and nephews.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws; brother, Greg Dey and several other relatives.

The Funeral Mass for Dianne will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating. Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London and again at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass.

If you are able to attend, and wish to, please join in celebrating Dianne's life by wearing her favorite color – PURPLE!

We find comfort in knowing that someone special will never be forgotten.  When the birds sing, the flowers bloom, the sun shines, when you hear the rumble of exhaust, think of me and know that I am with you.

I'd like the memory of

me to be a happy one.

I'd like to leave an afterglow

of smiles when day is done.

I'd like to leave an echo…

whispering softly down the ways,

of happy times and laughing times

and bright and sunny days.

I'd like the tears of those who grieve,

to dry before the sun of happy memories

that I leave behind when day is done.
