Donald Haef's Funeral Service Video

Donald G. Haefs, age 80 of New London passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 with his family by his side.  Donald was born on June 16, 1943 in New London to the late Gilbert and Irene (Bowen) Haefs.  He married Patricia Fuller on April 8, 1967 in New London.  He lived in several surrounding communities, graduating from Clintonville High School with the class of 1961.  Donald served his country in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He was employed for many years at Curtis, where he met his wife, Patricia. He went on to work for the Hortonville Toy Factory and GEM Custom Cabinets, before retiring in 2013.  Donald crafted small toys and doll furniture to sell at the Shawano Flea Market.

Donald is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia; children, Jennifer (Mitch) Isaac, Brian Haefs, Eric Haefs and Rebecca (Ryan) Lanning and his siblings, Roy (Amy) Haefs, Gordon (Maria) Haefs and Helen (Norman) DeSilva. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; infant son; sisters, Carol (Arnold) Janke, Ruth Brennenstuhl and Linda (Mike) Kiesow; niece, Cindy Thorne and one infant sister.

The Funeral Service for Donald will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Rev. Kevin Dembinski officiating. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Full Military Honors will be held at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London at a later date.
