Donn's Funeral Service Video

Donald (Donn) Lee Allen, age 90 went to his heavenly home on Monday, August 5th, 2024. He was born on May 1st, 1934, in Bovina, son of the late Russell and Mae (Thayer) Allen. Donn was a lifelong resident of New London. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. Donn loved his hometown of New London and served as an Alderman for several years. After retiring from Churny, Donn maintained his pride in New London and kept the public areas looking good by cutting grass for the city. He was a veteran and served his country in the United States Navy. Donn also loved his family, the Harley Davidson brand, and the Green Bay Packers.

Donn is survived by his children: Mike Allen, Oshkosh; Jenny (Dave) Lenz, New London; Peter (Elizabeth) Allen, Marietta, Georgia; grandchildren: Stephen Switala, Gabe and Sammy Allen; three sisters and one brother: Patsy Miller, Paola, KS, Angie Fletcher, New London, Judy (Dave) Ostermeier, New London, and Gary Allen, Appleton. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Donn was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers: Russell Allen Jr., Jimmy Allen, Dale Allen, and Ralph Allen.

The Funeral Service for Donn will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London officiated by Rev. Mark Tiefel of Emanuel Lutheran Church.  The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.

In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to the Staff Recognition Fund at St. Joseph Residence.
