Donald Ray Peterson, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 30, 2022, at ThedaCare in Waupaca.  Donald was born in Tennessee on November 7, 1945, son of the late Donald C. and Lois (Delashmit) Peterson.  Don enjoyed watching old TV shows and National Geographic specials.  He was a history buff and was very knowledgeable about historic events.

Don is survived by a sister Janet (Dennis) Jewell; step-sisters, Sandy (Bob) Tauschuer, Sherry (Keith) Krause, Linda Hawley, and Tammy (Bruce) Weyenberg; step-brothers Dan (Tammy) Hawley, and Mike (Bonnie) Hawley. He is further survived by nephew Christopher (Alysia) Jewell; great niece Jemma Jewell, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lois in 1974; step-mother Delores Hawley 2003; father Donald 2006; step-brother John Hawley, and step-sister Carol (Tom) Fassbender.

A graveside service for Don will be held at 10:00 a.m. on January 6, 2023, at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.
