Donald Schucknecht's Funeral Service Video

Donald E. Schucknecht, age 88 of Hortonville, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024. Donald was born in Hortonville on February 18, 1935 to the late Harry and Matilda (Lemke) Schucknecht, and he married Sandra Jarchow on August 18, 1979.

Donald served in the U.S. Army, and later in 1994, he retired from the Repair Department at Miller Electric. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, going out to eat and playing cards, especially sheepshead. He was a very social person, knowing people everywhere he went and leaving his mark. Donald enjoyed the Miller Electric Breakfast Club for many years, as well as his daily breakfast at Damn Yankees in his later years. He enjoyed camping and traveling, and anything he could do to spend time with family.

Donald is survived by his children, Julie (Richard) Quella, Kay (Doug) Jacobs, Debbie (Bo) Phillips, Bruce (Susan) Schucknecht, Jodi (Doug) Greene, Sonya (Brian) Douglas; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra; his first wife, Rosella; his parents; his brother, Henry; and his sister in-law, Nancy.

A special thank you goes out to Julie and all the family who cared for Donald, as well as the team of caregivers.

The Funeral Service for Donald will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Mosquito Hill Cemetery in New London.
