Dorothy Blondey's Funeral Service Video

It is with great sadness, that the family of Dorothy "Dort" M. Blondey, age 84, announces her passing on Friday, October 14, 2022.  Dorothy was born on April 12, 1938 in the Alma Center Area in Jackson County, WI to the late Peter and Viola (Gohde) Reinart. She married Larry Fitzmaurice.  Later she married Marlin Blondey.  Dorothy was raised in Merrillan, WI.  She loved to cook.  Her favorite holiday was Christmas- she collected Santa Clauses and baked Christmas cookies. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards and going out to eat with her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Theresa (Ken) Christian and Peter (Jayne) Fitzmaurice; step-children, Cindy Ottone and Guy Blondey; grandchildren, Shawn (Heidi) Christian, Trevor (Meghan) Christian, Tom (Katie) Fitzmaurice and Tim (Tina) Fitzmaurice; step-grandchildren, Angie, Jenny and Steve; great-grandchildren, Paige, Brody, Werner, Everett, Averi and Hazel, as well as Dorothy's siblings, Helen Schmidt, Roger Reinart and Joe (Nancy) Reinart.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marlin; brother, Frank Reinart; brother-in-law, Jim Schmidt; sister-in-law, Marilyn Reinart and step-son, Jim Blondey.

The funeral service for Dorothy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London, with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating.  The visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London and again from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Wednesday.  Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.
