Dorothy Pauline Stilen, Town of Maple Creek, Wisconsin, passed away at St. Joe’s Nursing Home, on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the age of 97.

Dorothy was born on July 30, 1928 to Harold and Esther (Kloehn) Kempf. She married Virgil J. Stilen on November 15, 1947. They celebrated 55 years together before his passing on November 19, 2002.

Dorothy is survived by her sister, Kathleen Buelow; her nieces, Sheila (John) Gehrt, Jennifer (Ferdinand) Galang and their children, Alexander, Gabriel, Henry, and Christian; nephew, Timothy (Stephanie) Buelow and their children, Benjamin and Samuel; and great nephew, John Kempf.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; parents, Harold and Esther; brothers, Glenn Kempf and John (Sandy) Kempf; sister, Gladys Kempf; nephew, Mike Kempf; and brother-in-law, DuWayne Buelow.

The Funeral Service for Dorothy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at New Maple Creek Cemetery in Maple Creek.
