Douglas Schmidt's Memorial Service Video Douglas C. Schmidt, age 52, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.   He was born on October 24, 1969.  Doug loved spending time at the cottage in Fremont and fishing on the Wolf River.  He also enjoyed cooking fish fries for his family.

Doug is survived by his parents, Neil and Diane Schmidt; daughter Tasha Schmidt (fiance' Zach Vasquez); brothers, Daniel (Kay) Schmidt and David Schmidt (special friend Angela Pusnik Brownson); other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Doug will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London with Rev. Peter Kesting officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
