Edward "Chip" Freeman, age 68, Anchorage, Alaska, formerly of New London, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, following a struggle with COPD.  Chip was born on July 5, 1953, in New London the son of the late Edward and Deloris (Rohloff) Freeman.  He grew up in New London and graduated from Manawa in 1971.  Chip moved to Alaska in 1979 and has lived there ever since.  He was employed by the State of Alaska.

Chip is survived by his wife Tammy; children, Quentin and Ashton Freeman; siblings: Sue (Dave) Hess, Major (Cookie) Freeman, Malia (Steve) Lowney, Erick Freeman, Ellie (Tim) Sellin, Julie (Terry) Lind, Bonnie (Tom) Buchholz, and Joe Freeman. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Terry; sister Lyndian and sister-in-law, Judy Freeman.

A funeral service for Chip will be held at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home on Friday, January 7, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. and also on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
