Emory Spiegelberg's Funeral Service Video

Emory Carl Spiegelberg, age 91 of Larsen, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.  Emory was born January 16, 1931 in Neenah to the late Elroy and Emma (Luedtke) Spiegelberg. Emory attended a country school near his home. He was united in marriage to La Senta Tesch on October 5, 1957 at Bethlehem in Hortonville.  She preceded him in death in 2020.  He was a salt-of-the-earth man, who was wholly devoted to his family and in his faith.  Emory was a millwright for 41 years at Eggers Hardwood Products, but never left the farm.  He was a man of many talents, mostly mechanical.  He loved his tractors and tinkering and fixing on them.  Emory was a skilled welder and worker of metals, as well as woodworking. He was known for his artful negotiating.  He was always able to get the best deal.  He was a talker!  Emory loved deer hunting-harvesting many big bucks.

Emory is survived by his children, Katherine Helgeson, Roseann Gould, Cynthia (James) Saladino and Elizabeth Buresh; grandchildren, Bridget (Paul) Spaude, Heather (Phil) DeGroot, Adam (Regan) Helgeson, Josh (Kristi) Helgeson and Micah Helgeson; great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Briella, Jackson, Bennett, Asa, Everett and one on the way. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Emory was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; son, Ronald Emory; brothers, Delvin and Delmar and sister, Mavis Spiegelberg.

There will be a visitation for Emory at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London on Monday, September 26, 2022.  Family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. A private family funeral will be held.  Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery in New London.
