Esther Kettner's Funeral Mass Video
Esther M. Kettner (Schueler), age 82 of Appleton, passed away on Monday July 17, 2023, at her daughter's home in Appleton. Esther was born on March 23, 1941, in Appleton to the late Clarence and Leona (Anderson) Schueler. After graduating from Hortonville High School in 1959 she worked at the power company. She then married Jerome Kettner on April, 20, 1963 and started her full time career as a dedicated farmer's wife. Through the years Esther also worked at Hardees and Menards until her retirement. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Stephensville. Esther had many hobbies including; shopping with her daughters, genealogy with her sister, Joan, snowmobiling and going to John Deere tractor conventions with Jerome, playing solitaire, jigsaw puzzles, word searches, watching The Price is Right, and bowling until her mighty left hand couldn't roll anymore. Esther enjoyed many things in life; Polka music, the Statler Brothers, golden Oreo cookies, Pepsi, and frosting (especially the corner piece of cake), she adored the Chicago Cubs, but what she enjoyed most was time spent with family.
Esther is survived by her children; Kris (Maxine) Kettner, Charles (Coleen) Kettner, and Theresa Kettner; son-in-law, Paul Weyers; grandchildren, Ashley (Kenny) Coe, Adam (Alicia) Kettner, and Abagail (Travis) Parker; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Henry, Harper, Harlo, Miles, and Charli; siblings; Mary (Gordon) Jahnke, Ruth (Emery) Rynders, Joan (Ted) Bayer, and Janice (Bob) Zeman; and in-laws, Maynard (Rose) Kettner and Kathleen (Leon) Griesbach. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerome; daughter, Lori Weyers; son, Randy Kettner, and brother-in-law, Bob Kettner.
The Funeral Mass for Esther will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday July 24, 2023, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Stephensville with Fr. Michael Thiel officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Parish cemetery.
