Eugene Hansen's Funeral Service Video Eugene Karl Hansen, age 77 of New London, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at his residence.  Eugene was born on April 4, 1944 to the late Ralph and Hilda (Nowak) Hansen in New London.  Eugene was raised on a farm, and continued the family tradition by running his own dairy farm for many years.  He was a hard working simple man, but very proud of his work; receiving awards from Land-O-Lakes for his quality milk production.  In order to support his family, he also worked at Hillshire.  After retiring as a farmer, he continued to work at Wolf River Lumber until his final retirement in 2009.  Eugene enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and volunteering at the Senior Center.

Eugene is survived by his children, Michelle (Leonard) Dawson, Mitchell (Karoline) Hansen, Dennis (Renee) Hansen and Dawn Hansen; grandchildren, Matthew Hansen, Leonard Dawson III, Breanna Sorenson, Owen Hansen, Savana Hansen, Wyatt Hansen, Samantha Loschiavo, Angelina Loschiavo, Ariana Loschiavo, Noah Hansen and Ava Hansen and siblings, Roger (Lois) Hansen, Donna (Norbert) Boldt, Barb (Marvin) Selle and Dave Hansen.

Eugene is preceded by his parents and sisters, Sharon Hansen and Carol Kiefer.

The Funeral Service for Eugene will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating.  Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
