Eugene A. Lawson Jr., age 79, of Waupaca, died on Sunday October 12, 2025 at Bethany Home. He was born on August 12, 1946 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Eugene & Dorothy (Carlson) Lawson.   He graduated from East Rockford High School in 1964 and then attended Milwaukee School of Engineering.  He worked at Taylor Company in Rockton, IL and retired as a senior engineer.  In 2009, Gene moved to Waupaca, where he loved the biking trails, logging 6,000 miles in one year.  He is survived by the many friends he made at the local drinking and eating establishments in Waupaca and the surrounding area.  A graveside service will be held at the Lake Ripley Cemetery in Cambridge, Wisconsin on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Scott Marrese-Wheeler officiating.
