Evelyn's Funeral Service Video

Evelyn Anita Rupple, age 94 of Medina, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Dimensions Living in Appleton.  Evelyn was born on October 29, 1929 in Medina to the late Walter and Gertrude (Gast) Flunker.  She graduated from New London High School with the class of 1947. Evelyn married Sam Rupple on June 9, 1951 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dale.  He preceded her in death in 1999.  She graduated from Outagamie County Teaching College in Kaukauna and attended UW Oshkosh, graduating in 1970.  Evelyn taught school for many years, retiring in 1992.  She was a member of the Medina Homemakers and St. Paul Lutheran's Ladies Aid.  Evelyn was a 4-H leader for many years and belonged to the Dale Historical Society. She was also the secretary of the South Medina Cemetery for many years.  Evelyn was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan and kept impeccable statistics of all the games.  Everyone knew not to call her during a game! She enjoyed time spent with the "walking ladies" in Dale and the wonderful conversation at breakfast with them.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Jim (Pat) Rupple, Janice (Doug) Gorges, Mary Fieser, Marge (Dan) Nimmer and Joyce (Paul) Patrikus; grandchildren, Stephanie Rupple (Nelson Schrock),  Melissa (Chris) Kohl, Erin Gorges, Adam Rupple, Jennie (Joe) Roesler, Megan (John) Diehn, Samantha (Derek) Puckett, Andrew (Sarah) Gathright, Natalie Gathright and Alec (Marli) Gathright; great-grandchildren, Bret, Tucker, Sawyer, Cassidy, Elliana, Kaitlyn, Colton, Landon, Cooper and Estella and her siblings, Don (Marlene) Flunker, Dick (Barbara) Flunker and Audrey Korth.

Besides her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband; sons-in-law, Riley Fieser and Scott Gathright; sister, Marion (Clyde) Wallenfang and brother-in-law, Robert Korth.

The Funeral Service for Evelyn will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dale with Rev. Paul Ibisch officiating.  The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in South Medina Cemetery, Medina.
