Evonne Yahn's Memorial Mass with Military Honors

Evonne Delaine Yahn, age 91, of New London passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Care Partners in Hortonville.  Evonne was born on March 3, 1931 in New London to the late Clayton and Emma (Blank) Holmes.  She was united in marriage to Eugene T. Yahn on October 18, 1954 at Holy Family Church.  He preceded her in death in 2003.  Evonne graduated from New London High School, class of 1949.  She attended cosmetology school in Oshkosh and business school in Minnesota.  Evonne served in the US Navy (WAVES) from 1951-1954.  She formerly worked at Pichelmeyer Drug Store in New London.

Evonne is survived by her son, Douglas (Loreise) Yahn and grandchildren, Deven and Rachel.

Evonne was preceded by her parents and husband.

The memorial mass for Evonne will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville with Fr. Phil Schoofs officiating.  The visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Full military honors will be held at the church following the mass.  Burial will be in Sunset Vista Cemetery, Yuma, AZ.
