Obituary

Franklin "Frankie" Carl Roesler, age 99 of Dale, completed his life's journey on Friday, January 21, 2022.  Franklin was born on November 21, 1922 in Dale to the late Oscar and Genevieve (Grossman) Roesler.  He was united in marriage to Frances E. Schroeder on June 5, 1954 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Dale.  She preceded him in death in 2016.  Franklin worked at Pacon Corp for 40 years, retiring in 1987.  He was an avid reader, loved fishing, shaking dice, going to EAA, meeting and talking to new people and going to breakfast with Mark.  Franklin was a WWII Veteran in the Army Air Corps.

Franklin is survived by his children, Marsha (Terry) Rockteschel, Bruce (Lynn) Roesler and Carla (Kevin) Quinn; grandchildren, Mike (Rebekah) Rockteschel, Mickie Hedtke, Curtis Roesler, Cassie Roesler, Jaime (Jay) Vickery, Erika (Andrew) Captain and Nick (Jamie) Staub and six great-grandchildren.

Franklin was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kathleen (Don) Klitzke; infant brother, Harold and grandson, Anthony Quinn.

The funeral service for Franklin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dale with Rev. Timothy Dolan officiating.  Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Full military honors will be held.  Burial will be in Dale Union Cemetery, Town of Dale.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Washington Center for their care and concern and hospice nurses, Sara and Niki.
