George Haen's Memorial Service Video

George Anthony Haen Jr., age 81 of Shiocton, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023.  George was born on April 9, 1942 in Green Bay to the late George and Marcella (Leick) Haen.  George was raised in Green Leaf, WI and served his country in the US Army from 1961–1967. George loved cars and car shows.  He owned a 1965 Galaxy 500 Convertible while he courted Karen. He married Karen Bunnell on July 1, 1967, which was the first of many best days in his life.  The other best days were the days his family grew. George loved Karen's cooking and she is most likely cooking a great feast for her beloved George right now!  He adored his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and so many others that they took in and cared for.

George is survived by his son, George Haen III and his children, Sydney Rose Haen and George Cole Haen IV; daughter, Heather (Lisa) Haen and their children, Parker and Hailey; daughter, Melinda (Jeremy) Boelter and their children, Daniel (Beth) Affeldt, Kassandra (Ian) Zgonc, Kaylynne Boelter (Jake Jacobson) and daughter, Angela (Eric) Witt and their children, Sabrina Witt and Harley (Hannah Kropp) Witt; great-grandchildren, Adeline, Felix, Dexter, Stella, Bennett, Cora and Kalani; siblings, Elizabeth Pinkert, Rosemary Hibbard; brother-in-law, Vernon Christopherson and in-laws, Eugene Bunnell, Patricia Nabbefeldt, Susan Drephal, Richard (Paula) Bunnell, Brad (Brenda) Bunnell and David Kelly, as well as many nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Karen and his sisters, Mary Agnes (Frank) Scheuer, Evelyn (Dale) Christopher and Dorothy Christopherson; brothers-in-law, John Pinkert, Robert Hibbard, Thomas Bunnell, Vern Nebbefeldt and Nathan Drephal; sisters-in-law, Barbara Kelly and Betty Bunnell and father and mother-in-law, Verryl and Ardys Bunnell, as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The Memorial Service for George will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Borchardt Moder Funeral Home in Shiocton.  The visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Full military honors will be held at the funeral home following the service.
