Gerald Magolski's Funeral Service Video

Gerald "Jerry" Raymond Magolski, age 75 of New London passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at his home from lung cancer.  Jerry was born on December 6, 1948 in New London to the late Raymond and Arleen (Hidde) Magolski. He was born and raised in New London and graduated with the Class of 1967 from Washington High School.  He married the love of his life, Charlene Herter at Emanuel Lutheran parsonage on August 8, 1970. Jerry and Charlene met on a blind date and despite never even knowing each other, they fit together like hand-in-glove.  He passed away on their 54th wedding anniversary.  Jerry loved spending time on the river fishing.  He retired from Seagrave Fire Apparatus in Clintonville.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Charlene; their children, Brenda (John) Samp, Kim (Nicole) Magolski and Chad Magolski; grandchildren, Jared (Heather) Grapentine, Megan Samp, Justin, Gabi and Isaac Magolski and Hope Bricco-Magolski and great-granddaughters, Scarlett, Everleigh and Maya.  He is further survived by his siblings, Terry (Sandi) Magolski, Joanne (Jim) Schutt, Laurie (Mike) Knaus and Kristine (Andrew) Rohloff and brothers-in-law, Jeff Rowl and Dennis Herter and sister-in-law, Shirley Claassen.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tammy Lynn; his sister, Raelene Rowl; mother and father-in-law, Margaret and Earl Herter; brothers-in-law, Terry (Sandy) Herter, Jeff Herter and Arden Claassen and sisters-in-law, Beverley (Joseph) Hanadel and Debbie Herter.

The Funeral Service for Jerry will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Chaplain Ben Frei officiating.  The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Most Precious Blood Cemetery, New London.
