Gerald's Funeral Service Video

Gerald Wayne Schroeder, age 81 of New London, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at ThedaCare Appleton.  Gerald was born on October 11, 1940 in New London to the late Milton and Verna (Handschke) Schroeder.  He was united in marriage to Rochelle Hohman on July 15, 1961.  Gerald served his country in the US Air Force.  He loved photography, hunting, fishing and going for rides in his Corvette.  Gerald enjoyed stock car racing and teaching biology and traveling.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Rochelle; children, Gerilynn (Duane) Burton, Tanya Meyer (fiancé, Chris Peterson), Sheldon (Dawn) Schroeder and Erick (Marci) Schroeder; grandchildren, Amber, Ashley, Lucas, Jasmine, Daniel, Jacoby, Donovan, Korra and Gabe and great-grandchildren, Leiam, Remington, Malaya, Azaylia and August.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral service for Gerald will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Chuck Thompson officiating.  Visitation will take place at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Central Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, King.
