Glen's Funeral Service Video

Glen W. Johnson, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, following a brief illness at Cherry Meadows, Appleton.  He was born on August 23, 1934, in the Town of Lebanon, oldest son of the late William and Frieda (Klingbeil) Johnson.  Glen was united in marriage on October 18, 1980, to Arlene Switala in Sugar Bush.  He formerly worked at Waupaca Foundry and Flanagan's Kraut Factory.  Prior to that he worked with his father at Johnson Implement in Sugar Bush.  Glen's hobbies included visiting with and mowing his neighbors lawns and fishing on the Wolf River.  Glen will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Glen is survived by his wife Arlene; children, Roger (Sandy) Johnson, Debbie (Rick) Hanstad, Kevin (Lynn) Johnson, David Switala, Ellen (Mark) Roberts and Dan (Heidi) Rowe; grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Melissa, Mark, Morgan, Becky, Sara, Jeremy, Brittany, Stephen, Nichole, Brittney and Brooke, 16 great-grandchildren, and many adored nieces and nephews. His siblings, Lyle Johnson, Joan (Tom) Bonikowske, William (Linda) Johnson, Ronald (Jean) Johnson, Judy (Ray) Much, and Janice (Dale) Meyer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister-in-law Nancy Johnson.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 12, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Sugar Bush. A private family service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kenneth Rodrigue officiating. Please wear face masks and observe social distancing due to COVID-19.  If you are unable to attend or prefer not to, Glen's service will be recorded and a link will be on our website following the service.
